It might get deeper than you thought, may be polluted with sewage or rat urine, it's probably going to be cold. There's hardly a canal or waterway in the country that isn't contaminated with effluent run off from fields.
Increasingly prime contractors such as the Environment Agency require sub-contractors to use appropriate protective equipment. We supply the E.A., Fire Service and Police with the suits they use in these circumstances.
We also supply professional standard buoyancy aids, gloves, helmets, thermal undergarments, etc.
Should you require it, we can provide information on working in hazardous environments and confined spaces, rope access, fall protection, safe working in or near water. The major training agencies use our equipment as well.
It's not just 'elf and safety. If you are warm and comfortable and not cringing at what you're about to lie down in, the job gets done faster with no time lost through bad weather.
If you must use waders, we make them too. About three times the price of anything from the catalogue or building suppliers, but you won't be buying new ones every month. They are made to order with your size safety boots. And we can repair them when they do get damaged.
